Chris Jennings

Chris JenningsBoard Chairperson

Chris is the Associate General Counsel at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles, California, where he manages the university’s litigation and teaches in the pre-law program on the side. Prior to joining APU in 2011, he practiced law at a large law firm in Los Angeles. Chris is a graduate of Boston University (J.D.) and APU (B.A.). Chris joined Partner’s board in June 2015 and served also from 2010 to 2013. He's dedicated to Partner’s vision of helping oppressed children find freedom and fullness of life, and has a desire to set out long-term strategies to help Partners fulfil that vision. He lives in Pasadena, California with his wife, Sara, their three children, and Taco (the family beagle). He likes reading, writing, and baseball.

Daren Lindley

Daren is the founder and CEO of large publishing company based in Beaverton Oregon. Working for years as a public speaker and successful entrepreneur, Daren has joined the board of Partners relief & Development to improve communications and expand church relationships.

Mikki Bateman

Mikki BatemanBoard Director

Mikki grew up in the McCall, ID as a pastor’s kid where she learned a love for both the outdoors and the ministry. She’s been married to her high school sweetheart, Terry Bateman, since 1998 and they have traveled across several states during his medical military career. They settled in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2009 along with their three kids, Macy, Carter, and Owen. Mikki has served in Women’s Ministry for 15 years and has a deep passion for teaching the word and helping people connect their “theology with their reality”. She holds a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Alaska and enjoys studying human behavior along side Biblical truth. Mikki is currently serving as the executive pastor of The Landing Church in Fairbanks. She loves being with her family, especially outside enjoying the amazing state of Alaska!

Steve Gumaer

Steve GumaerBoard Director

Steve, along with his wife Oddny, founded Partners Relief & Development in 1994 and serves the international organization as President. He also continues to be involved in operations in the United States and is currently a Board Director. You can read more about our founders here.


Tracey HallBoard Director

Tracey currently serves as a Regional Operations Manager for a large US accounting firm specializing in state and local taxes. Having chaired and served on numerous boards, earned a graduate degree in education, and been recognized for excellence in virtually all of her professional experience, she brings capacity that enables Partners Relief & Development to expand operations and further develop the organizations structure and procedures Along with her husband Daren, she has tirelessly advocated for oppressed children and has followed the work of PRAD since it started in 1994.

Maureen Beighey

Maureen BeigheyVP of Administration

Maureen has a passion to bring foundational principles and management expertise to Non profit organizations so they can focus on their vision and mission. She loves being a "nana" to her little sweetheart Tegan and when she has free time to spare, she loves hiking in the woods where she finds the silence captivating.

Katie Pham

Katie PhamAssistant US Managing Director

Katie is based in Denver, CO where she works part time communicating with donors, processing donations, and making sure everyone receives receipts for their gifts. She is married to Johnny and together they enjoy working with the numerous refugees from Myanmar who have been resettled to Colorado. They are passionate about helping them create and discover healthy, joyful, and self-sustaining lives.

Tressa Sylwester

Tressa attempts to keep up with and provide administrative support to the founder and President of Partners, Steve Gumaer. With a background in working with refugees and displaced people across the globe, she enjoys being a part of the wider team that provides essential assistance to those who often fall through the cracks and otherwise would have no hope.

Ken Hankins

Ken HankinsRegional Director

Ken and his wife Ann live in Midland Texas with their sons, Tripp (16) and Porter (15). After college, Ken worked in sales/marketing for many years. He enjoys swimming, running and skiing. He is involved in his church and various youth oriented Christian organizations including Young Life. Ann and Ken have supported Partners for nearly 9 years and feel fortunate to have been able to financially aid Partners and the Shan people in building the first ever training and sterile surgical clinic inside the conflict areas of Shan State, Myanmar. Now that he is working for Partners Relief & Development directly, Ken is committed to reaching out to new advocates interested in being a part of what Jesus is doing through Partners...just as he was reached out to nearly 9 years ago.

Jenn Tendero

Jenn TenderoDirector of Strategic Engagement

Jenn is a mother who wants for all children what she wants for her own: lives full of love and possibility. To that end, she tells the stories of children whose lives are affected by conflict so that others can join in. When she is not collecting stories, she can be found sharing them over coffee with friends or writing them down in a house next to a river that she shares with her husband, five children, and two dogs.

Steve loves life. He likes to run, climb, paddle, and read. He loves people and for the past 20 years, that passion has resulted in a team dedicated to bringing freedom and fullness to the children affected by conflict and oppression. When Steve is not on the road speaking at meetings, he can be found with his team or behind the keyboard contributing to the conversations required to achieve his ambitious goals. He and his wife Oddny work closely to help build a connected community who aspire to loving God with a whole heart, and proving that love on the battlefield where our youngest “neighbors" are found.

Oddny Gumaer

Oddny GumaerFounder

Oddny Gumaer is a writer, graphic designer, and runner. Her books and speeches have moved many people to engage with the people of Myanmar/Burma and refocus on the big issues of our day rather than the trivialities that often consume us. Her primary role is working in advocacy, getting the information out about the victims of war through writing, meeting politicians and policy makers, and speaking at Human Rights Meetings. She also plays an important role in Partners Norway's work.
