A generous friend is matching every dollar you give to help us reach our goal twice as fast!
80% of Raqqa's schools have been damaged by a decade of civil war.
The vestiges of conflict have lingered long after the airstrikes stopped. Because war has already taken too much away from Syria’s children, we are pulling out all stops and partnering with the local community to get 1,000 students back in the classroom where they belong.
When local leaders ask us to help rebuild these schools, we get to work.
We start by collaborating with local government and community leaders to investigate the proposed sites and begin the planning process.
Once planning is complete and funds are raised, local contractors are hired to undertake the rebuild.
Building materials are sourced from nearby suppliers to help the local economy and save on transportation costs.
Once complete, the community gathers to celebrate the official opening with a ribbon cutting and celebration.
Teachers return, students fill classrooms and learning can finally get underway again.
How You Can Help
We raise $100,000. They start construction.
We cannot complete our biggest rebuild to date without you. So let’s do this and make a way for 1,000 Syrian children to have access to learning again.
5,000 kids and counting.
Across the Middle East, you’ve helped us restore the joy of learning to thousands of children who have endured years of war. This #GivingTuesday, help us reach a milestone with our 15th school rebuild and secure a better future for another 1,000 kids.Donate Now
