About

Partners Relief & Development is a registered charity in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States, working with communities impacted by war in Myanmar/Burma.

Our Vision

Free, full lives for children affected by conflict and oppression.

Our Hope

Reconciled communities living in peace.

Our Mission

Through holistic action, we demonstrate God’s love to children and communities made vulnerable by conflict and oppression.

Our Values

We are a community committed to the leadership of Jesus. We follow Christ’s teachings. As he modeled a life of love, so we are committed to demonstrating love. We pray and seek God's guidance.

We seek justice. We assist the poor and those affected by the war in Myanmar/Burma. We are committed to empower individuals and communities and co-create sustainable solutions to their poverty. We are a voice for the displaced and oppressed. We seek system change.

We are committed to relationships. United, we accomplish much more than as individuals. With our partners, supporters, team members and recipients, we affirm the equal worth of each individual and the importance of teamwork.

We are learners. We are committed to the transformation of the people we serve. We are committed to our own growth and transformation.

We care for the whole person. Holistic care is provided for people impacted by the war in Myanmar/Burma. We work to improve their spiritual, physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. This includes a practical response to a person’s physical suffering. We help people regardless of ethnicity, gender or religion.

We are accountable. We are accountable to God, and our supporters, partner organisations, sending churches, leaders and recipients. We will be honest, trustworthy and transparent in all we do. Our actions will be consistent with our words.

Our Methods

  • Sustainable development for community wellbeing and a nurturing environment for children.
  • Strengthening families and restoring communities to stop the trafficking, oppression, and exploitation of children.
  • Emergency relief during times of acute crisis.

If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God's love? It disappears. And you made it disappear ... let's not just talk about love; let's practice real love. This is the only way we'll know we're living truly, living in God's reality.I John 3:16-18, The Message
